Mia is a wonderful photographer! We have used her several times and I have always been thrilled with the photos. She is great at working with families. We most recently worked with Mia to do a newborn shoot with second baby. She came to our house to set up the shoot so everything was very natural. She worked with my older son to get him involved and captured some wonderful moments with the whole family, the two kids, and each kid individually. We have also used her to capture our annual family reunion. She has been very accommodating working with a large group, including several kids. I am so happy to have these memories captured and very appreciative of Mia's work. Definitely 5 stars! -Alima
The pictures are nothing short of breathtaking. I will treasure them forever - I can't recommend her enough. We had 3 generations (including 2 teenage boys) and 2 dogs and she got beautiful shots of everyone! What I really appreciated was that she went out of her way to make sure I (mom) looked good because let's be honest, if I don't like the way I look I'm going to hate the whole picture! lol She's not only super talented but also smart!!- Angie
Mia has a keen eye for the best shots, particularly with babies and kids. She is awesome to work with and has a really terrific, positive attitude. I am always happy with our family photos - she has taken some live action, casual ones and some posed newborn pics. Highly recommend her!- Judy
"Mia was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I interviewed multiple photographers and loved her from the first conversation. She spent a great deal of time planning with us over the phone before we arrived at the cape so that she understood exactly the timing, the plan, the scene, the feeling of our wedding day. She is a true journalistic, story-telling, photographer, so it was very important to her to know the background, the people, and our narrative. She worked tirelessly; she never stopped shooting and editing, until she had that perfect shot. Our wedding was intimate, only 19 people. Mia completely understood our vision and worked with us to keep that feeling, both in the moment, as a professional, and to represent it, in our photographs. Mia never gives up. She'll work until you are perfectly satisfied. She is a truly lovely person to partner with. We felt very connected to her and happy to have such a joyful presence at our celebration. And after all that? Her work is stunning."
Writers don't like having their pictures taken, words should be enough and anyway everyone knows the camera steals your soul. But this is the age of the image and so if a writer is successful and, say, gets a book published, then the author photo must be had. And so it was that a friend recommended Mia as a 'brilliant photographer' who'd worked even in war zones and who would take exactly the right picture for my new book, 'Malta: The Beautiful Hour.' She arrived festooned with equipment as a war reporter will, escorted me into a large space with 'proper light' and the shooting began. It was so easy! We chatted, she snapped (once, rolled on the floor to get the right angle; I thought, she's learned that in the war zone!), and out came a most marvelous picture. People think I went to a studio and sweated it out. I did not, I simply allowed Mia to create that magic moment when you are having a bit of fun, the light is good, and suddenly, there you are, book jacket. Perfect, thanks Mia!- Karen
